Job Summary

TASLAF Advocates invites applications for the position of Tax & Accounts Graduate Trainee from highly motivated graduates seeking to build a career in taxation and accounting within a dynamic professional services environment. The role o!ers hands-on exposure to tax advisory, compliance, “nancial analysis, and client service engagements across a diverse client portfolio in Uganda and East Africa.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university;
  • Pursuing a professional quali”cation such as CPA, ACCA, Postgraduate Diploma in Tax (PGD Tax), Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), or Certi”ed Tax Advisor (CTA) is an added advantage;
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in taxation;
  • Graduated in 2024 or 2025, or expecting to graduate in 2026 (a letter of completion or testimonial must be attached);
  • Good knowledge of basic accounting and local tax laws;
  • Demonstrated interest in Climate Finance, ESG, and sustainability practices, with an understanding of legal issues relating to the technology, construction, and insurance sectors;
  • Must be a Ugandan citizen or legally eligible to work in Uganda.

Program Duration

The Graduate Traineeship Programme will run for a period of three (3) months. Outstanding performance during the traineeship may be considered for future engagement, subject to the !rm’s needs and performance evaluation.
