Job Description

A start up lending company is looking for a sales representative to join our team in our Kampala office. This person will actively seek out and engage prospective customers to sell our product and/or services and assist the customer through the onboarding process.

The ideal candidate is results-driven, hungry for customer acquisition, and passionate about contributing to top-line revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Managing the onboarding process for new customers, assisting them in understanding the product or service and guiding them through the setup process.

Developing and implementing strategies to ensure successful onboarding and retention of customers – Identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services during the onboarding process.

Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to identify potential customers and develop effective onboarding plans tailored to their needs.

Conducting thorough verification of customer information and documentation to ensure authenticity and mitigate the risk of fraud.
Investigating and evaluating suspicious activities or transactions flagged by the fraud detection systems, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks and protect the organization and its customers.

Providing training and guidance to other team members involved in the customer onboarding process to increase awareness and vigilance in detecting potential fraud.

Monitoring and analyzing customer engagement and feedback to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

Working closely with internal teams to address any technical or operational issues encountered by customers during onboarding.

Keeping accurate records of customer interactions and onboarding progress, and reporting on key metrics to management.

General Requirements:
  • 1-2 years experience selling a product or service
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent ability to manage and build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed acquisition goals
  • Advanced skills in communicating, selling and negotiating
  • Unrelenting drive to understand and meet prospective customer needs with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
