Job Summary
The Packaging Operator – Biscuit will be responsible for operating and monitoring packaging machines within the biscuit production line to ensure efficient, accurate, and hygienic packaging of finished products. The role focuses on meeting production targets, maintaining product quality, and complying with food safety and hygiene standards. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in food manufacturing and packaging operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Operate all manufacturing equipment (including new technologies) efficiently and safely
- Operate and monitor production line(s) to ensure efficiency
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws and conduct quality checks periodically
- Expedite repairs to line, working with maintenance as necessary (Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Maintain activity logs
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisor
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- A minimum of a diploma in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving ability
- Customer Service skills.
