Job Summary
The Database Officer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of organizational databases. The role supports data accuracy, reporting, and system performance while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards. This position is suited to a detail-oriented IT professional with strong database management and data administration skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor health and performance of databases under supervision of DBA.
- Assist in executing maintenance activities (e.g., indexing, patching).
- Support user account management and respond to access-related issues.
- Track and escalate database anomalies and alerts.
- Maintain detailed documentation, backup logs and compliance records
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- ITIL Foundation, DB Fundamentals (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- MSC (Technology or Business)
- Minimum No of 2 Years Experience in IT operations or support roles (databases, scripts, or system admin)
