About the Job
The Data & Analytics Officer supports and monitors a subset of the data management processes within the métier to enable evidence-based decisions and improvements in the area of data entry, quality, support, and analytics.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Applies best practices, standards, guidelines, and templates for data management and analytics, and works on continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with established internal and external needs and regulations.
• Keeps Data Management documentation updated.
• Data Quality
o Assists in improving, developing & applying data quality monitoring processes & tools (dashboards etc.) and contributes where appropriate in DQ controls automation.
o Monitors data quality controls and consolidates, cleans, and implements corrective actions.
• Data Analytics
o Assists métier in reflecting on their performance measures, improvements in the functional area of expertise, and provides ongoing support with data and analysis.
o Contributes to institutional reporting and dashboards by supporting colleagues in delivering reports, revisions, and optimization.
• Data Support
o Ensures complete and consistent data entry is done.
o Ensures continuity and smooth transition of data entered into various system applications.
o Contributes to the development of the data model and usage of the referential data that supports analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related degree.
• Training certificate in Data Analysis or Statistical Analysis.
• Knowledge of BI, SQL, statistical packages, Tableau.
• Excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
• Computer proficiency.
