Job Summary

The Utility Shift Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining utility systems during assigned shifts to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations. The role focuses on utilities such as boilers, compressors, water treatment, power supply, and related systems while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. This position is ideal for a technically skilled operator with experience in industrial utility operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the whole utility department is running smoothly.
  • Responsible for weekly maintenance and cleaning of the utility department.
  • Operate all equipment effectively and safely.
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
  • Ensure all inlet and out outlet circuits of cooling tower maintenance is completed before the start of production.
  • Continuously monitor all utility machine Boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers and softeners.
  • Responsible for cleaning all pipelines in the area as per the standard frequency.
  • Conduct all types of preventive and break-down maintenances of utilities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting utility systems and conduct repairs to ensure the plant can meet all operational commitments.
  • Operate the chillers, cooling towers, air dryers and high-pressure compressor to ensure continuity of production.
  • Maintain a checklist for chillers, compressors and cooling towers and write a daily shift report.
  • Perform any other task as per management request.

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of diploma in Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any other related field.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in refrigeration and air conditioning.
  • Knowledge of chillers, air dryers, cooling towers and High-pressure compressors is an added advantage.
