Job Summary
The Information Technology Officer will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s IT systems, infrastructure, and technology operations. The role involves maintaining network and system security, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and ensuring the efficient and secure operation of IT services. This position is suitable for a technically skilled professional with strong problem-solving and IT management capabilities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the team to develop an IT strategic plan in alignment with the BRAC’s strategic direction.
- Work with the IT Manager to cascade and implement the IT strategic plan to but not limited to the specific region of assignment.
- Direct and coordinate the local implementation of BRAC IT operations, projects, and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established project management principles and best management practices
- Build the capacity of staff in BRAC systems and resolving basic IT-related challenges.
- Provide first-line assistance to users when problems with systems arise and escalate where necessary and share feedback to users.
- Provide direct support to end users to ensure quality, functional, contemporary and secure IT systems, the ERP, internet, tools and equipment in the assigned areas.
- Maintain an up-to-date regional IT asset register of all IT devices Laptops, External Hard Disks, Desktops, Phones, Tablets, Servers, Network devices
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Computer engineering
- At least 5 years working in a busy IT environment, Experience in working with reputable NGOs is an added advantage
