Job Summary
As the Project Coordinator, you contribute to this ambition by coordinating a specific project and ensuring the impact, sustainability, relevance, efficiency, and effectiveness of a certain project.
The project coordinator reports to the Education Manager, the head of the education department. and is part of the education department. Within a specific project you are coordinating (no direct management), all the needed resources for this project (technical and operational). Through the respective line managers, the project coordinator works closely with all the other functional departments in the country.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- You ensure good project management, including, amongst others, planning, budgeting, monitoring, … and a timely realisation of key milestones and final project outcomes.
- You advise, guide, motivate and support colleagues of the project team in their work to contribute to project results.
- You identify and communicate needed project-related info towards a wide range of stakeholders (partners, donors, internally)
- You offer technical advice, guidance, and support to favour capacity development and project results.
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong skills in and at least three years of experience in project coordination and project management (planning, budgeting, monitoring and report writing), preferably working to strengthen government systems and structures.
- Strong skills in task coordination
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good reporting skills
- Fluent in English\
- Experience in coordinating foundational learning projects is an asset
- Experience with change management and capacity development processes in the context of educational systems
- Experience in capacity building of local governments
